Commuter Service Updates

Please note that Broadwater Down in Tunbridge Wells will be closed for gas mains replacement works from 1 October to 19 October inclusive.

You may be aware that the road has already been closed since August. However, because of the works' location, our services have been able to continue to serve most stops by diverting via Broadwater Rise.

Unfortunately, the works have now progressed to a point where this diversion is no longer possible. As a result, our coaches will need to divert via Bunny Lane for the remainder of the period.

During this diversion, we regret that we will be unable to serve the following stops:

• Broadwater Down, Frant Rd, The Bull  (this stop will instead be served on the opposite side of the road - see below)

• Broadwater Down, Broad Grove

• Broadwater Down, St Mark's Church

Customers travelling to or from these stops are advised to use the following alternatives:

• Frant Road, The Bull (southbound bus stop, which will be served at the normal times for The Bull Pub)

• Eridge Rd, Broadwater Down (West)

We understand that Rusthall Road is closed near the junction with Rusthall Park to allow SGN gas main works to take place. As a result, our services will be diverted via Coach Road until 20 October.

During this period, we regret that we will be unable to serve the following stops:

• Rusthall, Rusthall Rd adj Rusthall Grange

• Rusthall, Rsuthall Rd, adj Harmony Stret

Customers who normally use these stops are advised to use the following alternative stops, which will continue to be served at their normal advertised times:

• Rusthall High St

• Rusthall, Langton Rd adj Rusthall Rd

Due to several roadworks in Paddock Wood, including the junction improvement scheme works on Badsell Road, we regret that we need to make temporary changes to our route through Paddock Wood with immediate effect until 30 October 2026.

The location and nature of the various roadworks mean that our coaches are unable to follow their normal route via Maidstone Road and Badsell Road. As the works involve full road closures, there is unfortunately no practical diversion that would allow our services to continue serving the usual stops within Paddock Wood.

During this period, customers wishing to use our services from Paddock Wood should board and alight at the Paddock Wood Garden Centre bus stop on Maidstone Road. This stop will be served at the usual times advertised for Paddock Wood Eastlands. Alternatively, customers may travel to Five Oak Green or Pembury, where services will continue to call at the normal bus stops as shown in the timetable.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and for the short notice of these changes. Whilst the Badsell Road closure is not scheduled to commence until next week, an emergency closure of Maidstone Road near Eastlands was implemented over the weekend, requiring the diversion to be brought forward.
