Due to works associated with the Thames Tideway Scheme, we regret that we are currently unable to serve our usual AM bus stop at Blackfriars. Passengers are kindly requested to use an alternative stop at London Bridge (Stop 49) or Temple Avenue. We understand that this stop will be inaccessible until 31/12/22.
**This closure does not affect the PM stop, which will be served as usual at times indicated on our timetables**
Thank you for your understanding, and if you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We hope you have been keeping well, and we hope you continue to find the Centaur Commute service beneficial when travelling to London. It's been great to welcome more of you back to the service recently, and we hope to see more customers joining in the weeks ahead.
As we work to establish a more normal service following the Government's announcement to return to the workplace gradually, we must make changes to our commuter timetable. After analysing current passenger travelling patterns, we will launch a temporary revised timetable from Monday 9 Aug 2021. Below is a summary of the changes. All customers are advised to carefully check AM and PM departure times as minor timing adjustments have been made across most stops.
Temporary commuter timetable changes from 9 Aug 21:
Customers are advised to double-check PM pick-up times and bus stop locations in London due to various minor alterations. In the evening, most pick-up times have had minor timing adjustments. Furthermore, coaches will follow the original PM route in the City via Cannon Street and Fenchurch Street. If you previously caught our services from Upper Thames St (Stop 47) or Tower Hill (Stop TB) in the evening, you will now need to board at Cannon St (Stop MB) or Fenchurch St (Stop V), respectively. Blackfriars and Canary Wharf bus stop locations remain the same, and the morning route also remains unchanged.
Minor amendments have been made to the schedule and pick-up times of routes 786 and 788. In Pembury, route 793 will be replaced by route 786.
Minor amendments have been made to the pick-up times and routing of route 789. Passengers that currently use route 793 from Tonbridge will have the option to board a 786 or 788 (Tunbridge Wells) coach at Springwell Rd and immediately join the A21. Alternatively, the 789 (Tonbridge) route will serve Pembury Rd, Tonbridge Station and Tonbridge High St for travel to London via Higham Wood and Hildenborough.
Three daily return services will depart from Chipstead Corner, with a travel time of 45 mins to Canary Wharf. Departures are also available from Sevenoaks Weald, Morleys Roundabout and Hildenborough Park and Ride at Philpots Allotments. We regret that all other Sevenoaks stops will be temporarily suspended.
The 793 route will be temporarily suspended. Amendments have been made to the Tonbridge 789 and Tunbridge Wells 786 routes providing frequent services to London close by. Customers currently boarding route 793 from Pembury or Tonbridge should check the new temporary timetable for routes 786 and 788 for pick-up times at these locations.
All stops within Matfield will be temporarily suspended, with no coaches serving the village. The closest stop to Matfield will now be Pembury, Camden Arms Hotel.
Park & Ride at Hildenborough
We're delighted to announce that we will now serve the Park & Ride facility at Philpots Allotments in Hildenborough. You can find departure times for this location on the 789 timetables, with coaches stopping directly outside the site at the junction of Watt's Cross Rd and Noble Tree Rd. For more information and to purchase a car parking ticket, see philpotsallotments.com.
We look forward to seeing you back on board soon and thank you again for your ongoing custom. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information.
