Broadwater Down in Tunbridge Wells will be closed to facilitate gas mains replacement works from 28 September 2026. During this period, our 786 service will be diverted via Broadwater Rise and Broadmead.
During this diversion, we regret that we will be unable to serve the following stops:
Broadwater Down, St Mark's Church
Broadwater Down West
Customers travelling to or from these stops are advised to use the following alternatives:

Due to the emergency closure of Vale Road in Tunbridge Wells, we regret that our morning 786 commuter services will be unable to serve Tunbridge Wells Station (Stop B) on Thursday and Friday morning. We currently expect to resume serving this stop from Monday, 21 September.
Customers who normally board at Tunbridge Wells Station are kindly requested to use either The Pantiles or Royal Wells Park, both of which will be served at their normal advertised times.
Afternoon services will be unaffected and will continue to serve the usual Tunbridge Wells Station stop at the junction of London Road and Vale Road.
