Service Updates

Due to a planned closure of the Limehouse Link tunnel eastbound, it will be necessary to start our PM commuter services from Canary Wharf, West India Ave (Stop C) on Wednesday, 6 Dec to and including Friday, 8 Dec. If possible, we kindly advise customers that usually board in The City to use the DLR/Underground to access our services at Canary Wharf on these evenings.

Due to the severity of this closure, we expect traffic levels between the City and Canary Wharf to be exceptionally high. On Wednesday, this will also be compounded by extra traffic expected due to strike action on the railways. As a result, we regret that it will not be possible for us to guarantee a viable PM commuter operation from The City on these days.

Please note that this closure will only affect PM commuter services. AM commuter services between Canary Wharf and The City are expected to operate normally.

Please accept our apologies for any disruption caused due to this change. For further advice or information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Due to utilities works High Brooms Rd between North Farm Road and Highfield Rd will be closed until 8 Dec 2023.

During this closure, we regret that our 788 services will need to be diverted, and some of our regular bus stops will be suspended. Please find details below.

AM services

Coaches will operate the normal route as far as Upper Grosvenor Rd, Silverdale Road bus stop. Coaches will then turn at the Cambrian Rd roundabout and divert via Upper Grosvenor Rd (southbound) and St John's Rd (northbound). Coaches will re-join the route from Southborough, London Rd, adj. Western Rd bus stop, continuing as normal from here.

Customers boarding from stops in Upper Grosvenor Rd in the morning are kindly requested to use the normal (northbound side of the road) bus stops and not to cross the road to catch the coach from the opposite side.

PM services

Coaches will operate the normal route as far as Southborough, London Rd, adj. Hythe Close and will then follow the above diversion in reverse via St John's Rd and Upper Grosvenor Rd. Coaches will re-join the normal route from the Upper Grosvenor Rd, Silverdale Road bus stop.

We regret that during this period, we will be unable to serve the following stops:

High Brooms Station

High Brooms, opposite Post Office

High Brooms, Yew Tree Rd

Yew Tree Rd, opp Crendon Park

Due to Silvertown Tunnel construction works, we regret that we are currently unable to serve our usual AM bus stop Greenwich, Blackwall Lane (Stop MU). We understand that this stop will be suspended until further notice.

Customers usually alighting at this stop are kindly requested to use an alternative stop at either Poplar, Cotton Street (Stop CO) or Canary Wharf, South Colonnade, Canada Square (Stop J). Access to Greenwich from these locations is via DLR stops Blackwall and Canary Wharf.

We thank you for your understanding during this change, and please do not hesitate to contact us for further travel guidance.

Due to the ongoing Thames Tideway project, we are currently unable to serve Blackfriars (Stop B) during our morning commuter service. Customers usually alighting at this bus stop are kindly requested to use City of London, London Bridge (Stop 49) or Temple, Temple Avenue instead.

These works do not affect our PM stop Blackfriars (Stop A), which will be served at the regular scheduled times.

We regret that we do not have a re-opening timeframe for this stop, but we will be in touch as soon as we receive this information from TfL.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these changes, and if you require further assistance, you can contact our team via email or by calling 0208 3000 3001.
