Service Updates

Due to emergency water main works, we understand that Maidstone Road and Lower Green Road in Pembury will be closed until 07 November 2025.

As a result of this closure, we regret to inform you that our 786 services will be unable to serve the following bus stops in Pembury during this period:

During the closure, 786 coaches will instead serve the Woodsgate Corner bus stop on the A228, near the entrance to Tesco. Coaches will call at this temporary stop at the usual advertised times for 'Pembury, The Mews' as outlined below:

  • 786a - 05:34
  • 786b - 06:01
  • 786c - 06:29

In the evenings, passengers are kindly advised to alight at the Pembury Road, Oakley School bus stop. Where it is safe to do so, drivers will also be instructed to stop as close as possible to the A228 and Pembury Road junction to facilitate alighting.

We apologise for the short notice of this change and for any inconvenience caused. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Due to overnight carriageway resurfacing works, Shipbourne Road will be closed from approximately 19:00 each evening until 07 November 2025.

Where our 789 services arrive at Shipbourne Road after 19:00, coaches will divert via Yardley Park Road, the A26 and The Ridgeway, re-joining the normal route just before the Shipbourne Road, Pinnacles bus stop.

During the closure, we regret that the following bus stops will not be served:

Morning services are unaffected and will operate as normal.

We apologise for the short notice and for any inconvenience caused. If you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team.

Please be advised that, due to planned resurfacing works, Rusthall High Street will be closed from 3 November to 7 November inclusive.

During this period, all 788 commuter coaches will operate via Dornden Drive, Langton Road and Coach Road, as indicated on the diversion map.

Regrettably, we will be unable to serve the following stops during the closure. Passengers are kindly advised to use the alternative arrangements outlined below:

Please note that the alternative stops will be served at the normal advertised times as shown on the 788 route timetable.

We thank you for your understanding during this temporary change. Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team.

We have been informed that the A2 Bexley, Black Prince bus stop (London-bound) will be closed until 1 December 2025 as part of upgrade works at the A2 Bexleyheath junction.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the works and the absence of a suitable alternative nearby, the next available stop will be Canary Wharf, South Colonnade, Stop J.

Please note that the Kent-bound stop is unaffected. All services will continue to use the A2 Bexley, Black Prince stop for PM journeys towards Kent.

We apologise for the short notice of this change and for any inconvenience caused during the works. Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We regret to inform you that the Hildenborough, Philpots Allotments, Noble Tree Rd bus stop on route 789 in Hildenborough is currently suspended due to a viability review. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Passengers wishing to board or alight at this stop are kindly advised to use the following alternatives:

Due to Silvertown Tunnel construction works, we regret that we are currently unable to serve our usual AM bus stop Greenwich, Blackwall Lane (Stop MU). We understand that this stop will be suspended until further notice.

Customers usually alighting at this stop are kindly requested to use an alternative stop at either Poplar, Cotton Street (Stop CO) or Canary Wharf, South Colonnade, Canada Square (Stop J). Access to Greenwich from these locations is via DLR stops Blackwall and Canary Wharf.

We thank you for your understanding during this change, and please do not hesitate to contact us for further travel guidance.

Due to the ongoing Thames Tideway project, we are currently unable to serve Blackfriars (Stop B) during our morning commuter service. Customers usually alighting at this bus stop are kindly requested to use City of London, London Bridge (Stop 49) or Temple, Temple Avenue instead.

These works do not affect our PM stop Blackfriars (Stop A), which will be served at the regular scheduled times.

We regret that we do not have a re-opening timeframe for this stop, but we will be in touch as soon as we receive this information from TfL.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these changes, and if you require further assistance, you can contact our team via email or by calling 0208 3000 3001.
