On Monday, 9 October, our commute fares will change. The new fares are available to view here.
As you may be aware, commuter fares were last increased in July 2022. Since then, like all businesses, we have seen significant increases in costs in operating the service, most notably in maintenance, insurance and overhead costs. Therefore, to ensure we maintain the same service level, it is necessary to increase fares to keep pace with these changes.
While we appreciate that no one ever wishes to pay more, we are pleased to report that the savings when travelling with Centaur are greater than ever, with the gap between coach and rail fares widening ever further and comparable savings exceeding £2000 per year. In addition, last year's introduction of our flexible 1, 2 and 3 day-a-week tickets offering the best value for hybrid working and our annual tickets offering travel to London from as little as £6.12 one way.
