Luxury Coach Travel
Adult: £14. Child: £11. Senior citizen: £11.
On this trip you can choose where you want to visit; if shopping is what your after then talk a walk around town, if it is history and entertainment then try the castle and if it is walking and stunning views then join our ramblers club for a truly spectacular walk along the famous White Cliffs of Dover. Some parts are close to the unprotected edge of the cliff, and special care needs to be taken if walking with young children. Most flat or downhill, with short uphill stretches. The path is grass track way, with a few steps. The walk starts close to the South Foreland Lighthouse. This striking Victorian Lighthouse is the site of Marconis wireless experiments and Faradays first electrically-powered light. Climb the 73 steps for spectacular Cross Channel Views (admission charge). On a clear day you can look across the channel to the coast of France. Passing the Coast Guard Station Dover Harbour comes into view way below; and after another mile or so you reach the National Trust White Cliffs of Dover shop and coffee shop. Relax here for a snack as you watch the ferries far below, before the downward path to the town.
