This end of summer break will take you far north to Oban, Scotland. Here you will stay for four nights with Dinner and Full Scottish breakfast everyday. Exploring the town and the local Scottish countryside will give you plenty to do during your stay. If you wish to go further afield then hop back on our coach for a day trip around some local highlights. During our travels to the North and back we will be stopping off at a 3-star hotel near the Scottish border. Being a more leisurely trip we will stop off at some beautiful scenic spots en-route to give you a chance to witness some of the magnificent scenery Scotland has to offer. This holiday is as much a walkers paradise as it is a leisurely break, so be ready to enjoy it at your own pace. Itinerary: Sunday: Pick ups from home addresses, meet coach for drive to Holiday Inn Hotel, Preston. Monday: Drive to Oban and relax in the Royal Hotel. Tuesday: Free day in Oban; explore the town, catch a ferry to a nearby Island or just relax at your own pace. Wednesday: Optional Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Tour. Truly a memorable excursion through Rob Roy MacGregors land taking in some of the most stunning scenery in the world. This is a relaxing tour taking the full day with stops at Loch Lomond (Balmaha) and Aberfoyle providing opportunities to stretch your legs, take a walk, or relax and soak up the stunning scenery. At Aberfoyle you can explore the town or take a delightful walk to Lake Montieth with its island refuge of Mary Queen of Scots £ Inchmahome Priory. We will pick you up at Montieth after your walk before we tackle the climb over the winding Dukes Pass (named after Rob Roys arch rival the Duke of Montrose); and the stunning drive north and west round the National Park and back to Oban.
