Luxury Coach Travel
Adult: £14. Child: £11. Senior citizen: £11.
On this trip, stop at the historic town of Rye where you will find shops tucked into the smallest of places and a well thought out museum where you can learn about Rye's past.
Then on to Camber Sands, well known for its vast dunes and a beach that seems to extend as far as the eye can see you will find plenty to do here; dip your toes in the sea, grab a fish and chips or take a stroll to the east end of the beach and you may see a kitesurfer or windsurfer out on the water.
You can take the walk from Rye to Camber which offers opportunities to breath the country air and relax in the wide, panoramic vistas so acknowledged by generations of local artists. From Rye take the road to Camber for about 100 metres. Just after the bridge over the river take the pathway to the right through meadows of Romney Marsh sheep and lambs. Follow the well marked track. After about a mile you reach the road. Before you cross the road to re-join the footpath, we suggest you walk the few yards to your right to the friendly Rye Watersports Centre - a pleasant place to rest with a cup of tea and a cake, and to watch the novice windsurfers learning the skills. Weather permitting you may even see experts performing gravity defying tricks. Back then to follow the footpath and cycle track which winds its way round marshy meadows, lakes and lush fields, rejoining the road behind the dunes at Camber Sands.
